Todd and Janice's Wedding Continued

I had a heck of a time trying to post these pictures to the site.  So much trouble in fact that I created its own post.  I can only guess why the photos were taking so long to post.   No techies, these photos were tiny in size.  I guess that we will have to attribute the problem with packing too much fun and pure awesomeness into these photos in addition to the amazing talent of the photographer all rolled into a photo.   Although, I am sure it will be a while before the Berguetskis check out this blog, congratulations again to you two.

Alec's First Trip Across the Border!

The family had another fun weekend.   Katie, Jim and Alec drove down to La Crosse,  Wisconsin to join the Berguetski family in celebrating the marriage of Todd Berguetski and Janice Bursell.  The wedding was held in Colorado about two months ago and now we went to the second wedding reception.  To give you an idea about the first reception it involved a lot of pulled pork, a youtube video and one too many keg stands.

The Vetter family circled the wagons and all headed down south for this momentous occasion. We also took some photos of just about the whole family over the course of the night.   Sorry Annette your photos just didn't turn out. . . they were all blurry.

You can see the picture of Jim, Katie and Alec at the reception. . . what a good looking bunch!   Luckily Rob knew how to work the camera, because this was the only photo that has been taken of all three of us in a long time.  Someone seems to always end up holding the camera.  You can see we even managed to snap a photo of Rob and Jenny, Jim's brother and sister-in-law.   They made to the reception just a little bit before Jim and Katie (about 3 hours).  I think we were planning on leaving at the same time.  Rob and Jenny were traveling without the kids.

Fall Comes Home

Well, it has been a pretty busy week at home.   Katie had her normal activities of her classes for her Master's program and Orchestra and Jim was out of town for work at barge loading facilities in Mississippi and Arkansas.

Friar's Point, MS

Katie, Jim and Alec also partook in an annual combined family tradition (Rob, Jenny, Wyatt and Kaylee Vetter being the other family) of apple picking.  This is the first year that we did not go to the orchard in Afton.   Afton is just getting too busy, crowded, and crazy overall.  We traveled south to Applewood Orchard in Lakeville where we were able to walk right into the orchard instead of riding the tractor-pulled hay cart.  Maybe next year when Alec is walking!

This year we picked about 2-3 dozen Cortland apples.  Mostly for pie baking...but some for eating.  There were a lot of apples that were beat up by the hail storms we had this year, but they will bake up just fine.

Alec Vetter turns 4 Months!

Well, as most of you know.  Alec Jay Vetter just hit the four month mark.  Congratulations Alec!  You can see a couple of his new photos on the blog here.  The photos were all taken at Jim Vetter studios....But, the smiles are all courtesy of Katie making funny faces behind the camera.

Alec is the smiliest baby you will ever see.  He is incredibly happy until you pull out your camera and then BAM!  He is either hungry, tired, bored or all of the above.   Most of his pictures were taken outside, because like his parents that seems to be where he is happiest.
